I asked Matt last night about the release date. In short, it's a label thing. The video isn't completed yet - close, but not completed.
Virgin wants to push the release back to give the band more time to promote through the tour, and ultimately have the new album released alongside (or as close to the release of) the video for 'Attack.' They guys are no less happy about this delay than we are.
From the band to the fans, there you have it.
